'I GASPED!'
Thinking about the meaning of the hats

To Kevin Kelly: I just read your review of "Old Hats." You were spot-on all the way, though I wasn't that crazy about The Debate. But at the end, when they tossed their top hats into the spotlights, I GASPED! I thought their characters were dead. I thought that was their way of saying it's over. After the show, my son, age 16, asked what the heck was wrong with me. I told him I thought the clowns were dead. He gave me "The Look," which is part disappointment, part scorn, and part WTF. My wife also thought I was taking the show too seriously. After reading your review, I see while I may have overreacted, at least I wasn't the only one thinking abut the meaning of the hats.

Arf! Slobber, slobber
The dog, identified

Dear Mr. Orr:

Thank you for your review of "Legally Blonde: The Musical." I too was taken with the dog Paulette wins back from her ex-boyfriend. I learned his name is Franklin Cardona and he has a Facebook page. Franklin is clearly a rising star, so I was excited to see this coverage. He is a French Bulldog which, I believe, is a breed closely related to pugs.

Thank you for your review and I hope you have a wonderful week.

Sincerely,
Austin
